Do you find developing and operating entire software stacks that interact directly with physical systems in real-time, produce and process high volumes of scientific data, and provide operational interfaces for diverse user groups an exciting challenge? Then, this position may be for you.
We are looking for a Telescope Software Developer to support our Herzberg Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Centre. The Software Developer would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect, and Creativity.
As the successful candidate, you will become part of a diverse team of computer scientists, technicians, engineers, and astronomers; developing and operating advanced radio telescopes on site and around the world to support world class science. You will become an integral member of the software development team, working within an Agile methodology, designing, developing, and maintaining software and software/physical infrastructure that enables current and future astronomical discovery.
