Temporary Customer Service Representative

We're hiring Customer Service Pros to support our client who is a purpose-driven Canadian organization dedicated to improving the lives of Canadians through better access to health, wellbeing, and support. Our client is known for putting people first, challenging traditional approaches, and creating positive impact in communities across Canada.

This Job Isn't for Everyone. This is a high-volume service environment. Calls come one after another. Some members will be frustrated. Some will be worried about their health, benefits, or finances. 

The pace is real. The expectations are real. The impact is real, too. You'll need to remain calm under pressure, navigate multiple digital systems simultaneously, and provide accurate information with confidence and empathy.

Here’s the Deal:

• We're offering full-time, temporary positions with varying start dates in October, November and December and varying end dates through December - April 2027. 


• The hourly rate of pay is $20.00. Plus, there's potential to earn a stay bonus.


• Training is provided in a fully virtual classroom.


• Our program is operational Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 9:30 pm Atlantic Time, and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This position involves a rotational schedule of 30 to 45 hours per week, including regular evening shifts. To be considered for this role, you must have open working availability within these operational hours. If you're looking for a typical 9 to 5 job, this will not be the right fit for you.


• We recognize that everyone works differently and can support you no matter your preference. If you prefer to work on-site in our Halifax office, that works for us. If you prefer at home, we will provide all the equipment you need. You’ll need to have hard-wired internet with upload/ download speeds that meet our testing minimums, a desk and chair.

What We're Looking For:

Required:

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment


• Professional-level English communication skills


• Comfort working across multiple systems and technologies. You don’t need to be a tech genius. You do need to be comfortable working quickly and accurately in a fully digital environment.


• Strong problem-solving abilities


• Ability to remain composed during challenging interactions. You’ll need to be clear, empathetic, and helpful even if your customer is upset or frustrated with an emphasis on active listening.


• Experience working effectively within a team environment

Nice to Have:

• Contact center experience


• Healthcare, insurance, benefits, or financial services experience
