Job Description - Timber -Tech Building Solutions - Warranty Technician
Timber-Tech Building Solutions is a leader in residential and commercial framing solutions across Alberta, and is seeking a dedicated and skilled Warranty Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting post-construction service and warranty work, ensuring that deficiencies are addressed professionally, promptly, and in line with company and industry standards. This is a fully field-based position that requires daily travel to customer and job sites throughout the Calgary area and surrounding communities. The successful candidate will be provided with a company pickup truck, tools, and equipment necessary to perform their duties.
Wage: $25-$30 depending on experience
Schedule: 8:00AM-4:30PM M-F
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site assessments of reported deficiencies in homes and buildings framed by Timber-Tech Building Solutions.
Perform hands-on repair work to address warranty issues (e.g., framing corrections, hardware adjustments, cosmetic fixes)
Communicate with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams to coordinate service appointments and set expectations
Maintain clear and professional documentation of site visits, repair work completed, and materials used
Prioritize and manage daily service calls to ensure timely resolution
Report recurring issues or quality concerns to the construction and quality assurance teams
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company standards, and warranty obligations
Represent the company professionally and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners
Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures
Comply with PPE requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proven experience in residential or commercial framing, carpentry, or general construction
Skilled in carpentry, with the ability to perform precise and efficient repairs
Solid understanding of building processes, materials, and warranty requirements
Excellent troubleshooting and repair skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule
Comfortable using smartphones or tablets to complete digital service reports
Valid class 5 Driverâs License with a clean driver's abstract
Working Conditions:
100% field-based position with daily travel to residential/commercial job sites and customer locations
Company-provided pickup truck, tools and equipment for business use
Exposure to a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions year-round
Frequent lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and use of hand and power tools
Fast-paced, customer-facing role requiring flexibility, professionalism, and strong time-management skills
