UI/UX Designer

SIMMS is a small and exciting medical imaging software company, located in Toronto. We are passionate about improving Canadian health care systems and we are currently looking for an experience UI/UX Designer.  This position is a 6 month contract with a possible extension.

In this role, you will work with the Product Management Team, which includes the manager, support team and developers in order to create a comprehensible look and feel for our product.  You will be a great problem solver and self-starter with the technical ability and drive to improve the overall user experience of our client.

As the UI/UX Designer, you will be involved in every part of the process to brainstorm, innovate, fine tune and customize our product for our clients.  You will be attending sessions with clients to get the necessary feedback as needed.  You will be directly involved with wireframes, workflow, diagrams, interactive mock-up and prototypes.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or certification - computer related


• Portfolio that includes UI/UX work with a focus on data/information


• Min 3 years designing user experience/interactive design for interactive web applications for a clients/customer base


• Excellent user interface & design skills as well as understanding of user centered design principles, - eye for detail


• Ability to understand complex user design issues and work towards clean understandable solutions


• Excellent interpersonal skills with client base as well as communication skills with developers and technical team
