Job Description - Vice President of Sales










This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Vice President of Sales in Canada.


This opportunity is designed for seasoned sales leaders ready to transition into a high-impact, autonomous advisory role supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
You will leverage decades of executive sales experience to help organizations build or transform their sales function from the ground up.
The role focuses on diagnosing sales performance gaps, designing scalable strategies, and implementing proven sales systems that drive measurable revenue growth.
You will act as a trusted outsourced sales leader, working directly with business owners who lack in-house senior sales expertise.
This position offers significant autonomy, allowing you to manage your own schedule, client portfolio, and working rhythm.
It is ideal for leaders seeking to step away from traditional corporate constraints while continuing to make a strategic impact.
You will operate within a structured advisory model backed by an established methodology and experienced network of sales professionals.










Accountabilities:



  • Serve as an outsourced VP of Sales for multiple small and medium-sized businesses, assessing their current sales capabilities and identifying performance gaps.

  • Design and implement scalable sales strategies, processes, and structures that improve revenue generation and long-term commercial performance.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop internal sales teams to enhance productivity, accountability, and deal execution effectiveness.

  • Partner directly with business owners and executive stakeholders to align sales strategy with overall business objectives and growth targets.

  • Support the creation of sales playbooks, forecasting models, KPIs, and performance management systems tailored to each client.

  • Drive measurable improvements in revenue, pipeline development, and sales efficiency across diverse industries and client environments.


Requirements:



  • 16+ years of overall sales experience with a strong track record of business-to-business success.

  • Minimum 8+ years in senior sales leadership roles with direct responsibility for teams and revenue outcomes.

  • Proven experience managing significant revenue portfolios ($25M+ annually or equivalent scope).

  • Deep expertise in building, scaling, or transforming sales organizations, including strategy, process, and execution.

  • Strong consultative mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and business owners.

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and communication skills with a focus on developing high-performing teams.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
