Job Description - Winch Truck Driver

ENTREC Alberta, a diversified trucking company (acquired by LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies), is currently recruiting for a full-time Winch Truck Operator to join its team in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Responsibilities:


 


Duties may include, but are not limited to:


 



  • Operate a Winch Truck to winch load and unload equipment as required.

  • Haul Customer Commodities with various multi-axle trailer configurations.

  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete daily inspection reports.

  • Adhere to Hours of Service and Logbook Regulations.

  • Adhere to daily schedules set out by Dispatch & Supervisors.

  • Complete daily paperwork / reporting accurately and on time.

  • Promote ENTREC’s safety culture and adhere to HSE policies.

  • Maintain a clean and organized truck.

  • Report all equipment repairs and maintenance requests to the Shop lead and Dispatch.


 


Skills and Requirements:


 



  • Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License.

  • 3-5 years on/off highway driving experience.

  • Must have equipment hauling experience.

  • Must have winch truck operating experience.

  • Bed Truck Operator and Picker Truck Operator experience would be considered an asset.

  • Must have experience pulling 32-to-48-wheel Trailer configurations.

  • Availability to work rotational shifts, including days and nights.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

  • Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team setting and alone as required.

  • Ability to navigate work sites and adapt to daily changes in scopes of work.

  • Acceptable drivers abstract (5 years minimum).
