Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus and South Campus, Edmonton.

The position is responsible for supporting comprehensive fleet operations through vehicle preparation, preventative maintenance, minor technical repairs, and customer coordination. Perform engine oil and filter changes at regularly scheduled intervals, conduct multi-point safety inspections including steering, suspension, tires, belts and hoses. Executing complete interior/exterior cleaning, conducting pre and post trip inspections, documenting vehicle condition and coordinating rental dispatch and returns with customers and outside service partners. Windshield rock chip repairs, shuttling and fueling vehicles, assisting automotive technicians with repairs, maintaining shop cleanliness and supporting inventory control.



Responsibilities
  • Vehicle preparation, cleaning, dispatch and returns - complete cleaning of the interior and exterior of a vehicle so it is ready for issue. Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety measures are met. 
  • Preventative maintenance - perform engine oil and filter changes at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Tire & glass repairs - Complete tire repairs as required using the changer and balancer. Complete windshield repairs as required.
  • Vehicle setups and prep for disposal - Complete new vehicle set up and prep units for disposal, making minor repairs as required.
  • Complete miscellaneous work for overall shop operations which include assisting mechanics, general  cleanups and fueling vehicles as required.
  • Accurately verify and record information as required.


Qualifications
  • Minimum completion of Grade 10
  • Valid Class 4 Driver's License and able to provide Driver's Abstract.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new application for work.
  • Ability to operate tools (hand tools, air tools, pressure washer, welder, etc.) is an added advantage
  • Ability to lift items (such as large tires, canopies) up to 50lb
