Employment Status:             Contract (Approx. 2.5 months)
Salary:                                        $21.50/HR – 35 Hours per Week
Location:                                    Naughton, ON

POSITION SCOPE:

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek is seeking three (3) dedicated and enthusiastic Post-Secondary Summer Student Coordinators for the following three (3) positions:

• 
  Jays Care Coordinator


• 
  Summer Camp Coordinator


• 
  Summer Student Coordinator

These positions will support children and youth in the Jays Care Baseball setting and other summer camp programs and activities, reinforcing learning and retention concepts. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Enrolled as a Post-Secondary Student for the 2026/2027 School Year


• Preference to Atikameksheng Anishnawbek Band Members (Please identify on your resume)


• Ability to submit a CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Screening


• First Aid and CPR with AED Certification, or willing to obtain.


• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  
  

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Positive role model with knowledge of child and youth development.


• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.


• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with program participants, parents, and caregivers


• Effective verbal and written communication skills.


• Knowledge of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek traditions and culture.


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support participants in developing social, life, and learning skills.


• Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).


• Act as a positive role model and leader.


• Work with Atikameksheng Anishnawbek Staff and Volunteers to address concerns.


• Document all incidents and/or injuries.


• Supervise participants during activities and field trips.


• Maintain a safe work environment.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions, physical activity, and interaction with community members of all ages. Travel within the community and surrounding areas may be required.
