CSR - Biz Booth  - Student Work Study job opportunities open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.

This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need. 

Eligible Students
•Domestic Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, and meet financial needs assessment criteria 

•International Students at Fanshawe College must be registered as a full-time student, and have a valid study permit and Social Insurance Number

•Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements.

Successful candidates may be asked to apply to the Work Study Employment Program.  The Work Study Employment Program will help Fanshawe Student Union financially to employ students over the summer, fall, and winter term.

Contract - Temporary Part-Time (September 2026 - April 2027)
Up to 20 hours per week

Summary

The Biz Booth serves as an information hub for the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) – a space where students can ask questions about the FSU’s services, events and resources, and receive support navigating campus life. The CSR provides exceptional customer service, ensures accurate information is shared, and knows when to seek support when needed. This role includes oversight of the Games Room, including the on-campus pool room, and responsibilities such as processing payments and bookings, stocking and organizing supplies, basic inventory management, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.  The CSR may also provide support to the Student Services Department as required.

Job Duties

• Greet and interact with students, providing accurate information about FSU services, events and resources


• Manage pool bookings and process payments using a cash register (debit/credit only)


• Accurately track sales/payments and complete end-of-day procedures


• Review inventory, stock, and organize supplies


• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Biz Booth and Games Room


• Supervise the Games Room and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students


• Work independently in a fast-paced environment


• Student Services projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study/ISWEP program


• Knowledge of the FSU’s resources and services is an asset


• Previous customer service/retail experience is an asset


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Strong data entry and accurate typing skills


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor


• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy


• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset


• Professional appearance and behavior


• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
