Job Description - Early Stage, AI Workflow Automation Startup: Product Engineer/Customer Engineer

We're looking for a Customer facing, Product Engineer to:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams & clients to gather requirements and define project goals.
Design and architect scalable and efficient software solutions with a responsive UI
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Review code contributed by team members and provide constructive feedback.
Debug and troubleshoot issues reported by QA or end-users.
Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve development processes.
Mentor junior developers and share knowledge through code reviews, pair programming, and tech talks.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
Communicate project status, challenges, and progress to stakeholders.
Continuously improve existing systems and processes to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software development methodologies and technologies.

What you'll need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend engineering.
Proficiency in a variety of frontend languages & frameworks, as well as with different styles of API's
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Lean, or Kanban.
Ability to maintain and enhance inherited code with best coding practices.
Experience with Google Cloud services and GitHub.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

$120,000 - $200,000 a year

Compensation is salary + meaningful equity in an early stage venture backed startup commensurate with level of experience.
