RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the sales engineering team to write, test, and deploy software solutions using advanced Java or Scala programming.
- Collaborate with the sales engineering team to learn, orchestrate and manage SE labs and demo instances on cloud and on-premise ecosystems.
- Participate actively in the customer proposals lifecycle, including Demos, RFIs, RFPs, and POCs.
- Build a compelling ROI model for prospects incorporating technical solutions and customer business value.
- Build automation scripts or a go-to-market asset (like a powerpoint) that can be used in the most effective ways.
- Commit to continuous learning and professional development, adapting to new tools, languages, and platforms as required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field at the University of Waterloo.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, and Python.Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
- Experience with distributed computing, big data technologies, and cloud platforms is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Services, Deployments, StatefulSets, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
- Understanding of the big data ecosystem, including data ingestion, processing, and storage technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative culture.
- Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new technologies.
