The Region of Waterloo Library (RWL) is committed to providing library services and supports to residents in the four rural townships (North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot, and Woolwich) in Waterloo Region. We are guided by our mission to connect residents to each other and to the world of ideas, which we accomplish by providing equitable access to information and services, diverse collections, and engaging programs.
RWL is seeking creative, enthusiastic individuals to join our team and contribute to our annual Summer Reading Club program at the library! This position involves designing, promoting, and delivering fun and interactive programs for children and tweens (ages 6-12) at our eleven rural library branches and the connected communities. You will also attend community outreach events, to promote RWL’s services and resources, and encourage the enjoyment of life-long learning. This position will require travelling daily between library branches and community locations across the Region of Waterloo.
Please Note: This position will be dependent on funding by Young Canada Works (YCW). Applicants wishing to be considered for this job must be registered in the YCW in Heritage Organizations candidate inventory databank.
