The Prosthetics & Orthotics Department (P&O) offers three areas of service including\: prosthetics, orthotics and postural positioning. Patient care in all three areas is provided following a written referral from a physician and with cooperation 
with other members of the health care team. These services are provided for both inpatients and out-patients from the Hamilton-Wentworth area and from surrounding regions.


Monday to Friday; days

This position is temporary until May 2027.


1.Must be a university or college level student who can provide evidence of above average technical hand skills.
2.Preference will be shown for an individual who can demonstrate that they are pursuing the Prosthetics & Orthotics profession as part of their career path.
The P&O student will provide assistance to technical and/or clinical staff in servicing patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to, cast filling and stripping, room set-up and cleaning, assisting clinicians with casting procedures, set-up and tear down of diagnostic equipment (e.g. F-Scan), technical assistance in fittings of devices and general assistance where needed.
