Claims Representative — Part-Time

Optiom is adding part-time Claims Representatives to our client care team to strengthen coverage during our peak service hours (10:00–17:00, Monday–Friday). You will support the front lines of our claims process: reviewing documentation, processing claims accurately, and communicating with policyholders, brokers, and body shops to ensure our clients receive the support they are entitled to — quickly and professionally. This role is available in Langley, BC.

You Bring

• 1–2 years of customer service experience, ideally in insurance, financial services, or a fast-paced office environment


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English


• High attention to detail — accuracy in claims handling is not optional


• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize and meet service levels during high-volume periods


• A high level of empathy, patience, and professionalism when navigating difficult conversations with policyholders


• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM software


• The ability to handle confidential information with integrity


• Reliable availability for a consistent 15–20 hour per week schedule covering peak service windows

Bonus Points For

• Active General Level 1 Insurance Licence already in hand


• Prior experience in claims handling or insurance administration


• Familiarity with total loss, vehicle replacement, or specialty insurance products


• Bilingual in English and Mandarin, Punjabi, or French
