Location
This position is required to work in person at various sites across the city. Work location is subject to change at the discretion of the City due to operational demands.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Supervisor, RCC Customer Experience the Customer Experience Representative, RCC is responsible for providing direct customer service at community centres, arenas, and pools. This includes registrations, membership sales, and drop-in admissions.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Providing welcoming reception duties and customer service to community members and visitors.
Maintaining knowledge of a wide range of recreation program and facility information.
Providing information and responding to customer enquiries and service requests received at counters, on the phone or by email.
Performing transactions with various payment types for program admissions, registrations and other department services, as well as completing end of shift deposits.
Liaising with program and facility staff to support a positive customer experience including issue resolution.
Requirements
You have at least two (2) years of related work experience as well as dynamic customer service and public relations skills. The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment is essential.
You have solid experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel as well as knowledge of point of sale or membership and registration software. Experience with recreation registration software and knowledge of recreation programs would be considered an asset.
Shifts will include daytime, evenings and weekends, requiring an individual with flexible availability. This position may require occasional travel between sites and/or City facilities and must provide own transportation.

This position requires the successful candidate to provide a clear criminal record check at their own expense.
