WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: The regular working hours for this position are 28 hours per week or 4 days per week, consisting of 7 hours per day. Standard working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The English Language and Multicultural Services (ELMS) Program empowers newcomers to Canada to live full lives in our community. The program offers free multi-level English classes, volunteer tutor matching, information and orientation, community connection services, employment services, and cultural learning activities. The service utilizes learner-centered approaches to teach and introduce newcomers to Canadian culture and resources, to connect them with the community and to strengthen English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. A welcoming and supportive community is built through shared intercultural experiences.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Employment Case Manager & Job Developer supports eligible clients in achieving sustainable employment through individualized employment planning, career coaching, job search assistance, and labour market guidance. The position is responsible for providing comprehensive case management, assessing clients' employment needs and strengths, developing action plans, and connecting clients with appropriate employment, training, and community resources.
The Employment Case Manager & Job Developer also plays a key role in job development by building and maintaining relationships with local employers, promoting clients to potential employers, identifying employment opportunities, and supporting successful job placements. Working collaboratively with employers, community partners, and service providers, the Employment Case Manager ensures high-quality service delivery, achieves program and contract outcomes, and contributes to positive employment and settlement outcomes for clients.
