In response to the continued expansion of the Affera™ Mapping System and Medtronic’s sustained investment in the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) portfolio, we are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong passion for clinical training and talent development to join us as an Affera Regional Field Educator. This position will focus on driving clinical excellence among Affera Mapping Specialists within a defined geographic region. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with the ability to assess individual competencies and design tailored training programmes, ensuring the field team is fully equipped to deliver best-in-class support during the rollout of the Affera system and other electrophysiology technologies across the Nordics Region. This role combines advanced expertise in electrophysiology and cardiac mapping with strong training and educational capabilities, offering a highly impactful and rewarding opportunity. The Affera Regional Field Educators will report to the Affera Clinical Lead, NWE – Cardiac Ablation Solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Partner with Northwest Europe Sales and Marketing teams and the Affera Regional Clinical Manager to drive utilisation of the Affera Mapping System and CAS portfolio through in field training, coaching, and clinical support
• Spend ~80% of time in the field developing team capability through site visits, structured training, performance coaching, feedback, and reinforcement of best practices
• Identify, develop, and promote clinical best practices while sharing relevant clinical data aligned with regional marketing and clinical strategy
• Monitor competitor activity and support strategies that strengthen competitive positioning and field effectiveness
• Collaborate with the Training & Education team and Clinical Excellence Manager to ensure alignment and consistency of training standards, materials, and initiatives
• Deliver and coordinate structured education programmes across Associate to Principal Mapping Specialist levels, supporting onboarding, new technology integration, and sustained clinical competency

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preference for Science or Medical Engineering
• Typically 4+ years’ experience as an EP Cardiac Physiologist or in a clinical/technical electrophysiology role
• Strong understanding of electrophysiology and ablation technologies and their clinical applications
• Hands-on EP lab experience, including use of 3D mapping systems and independent support of routine and complex procedures
• Professional accreditation (e.g., IBHRE, EHRA, BHRS) preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with the ability to work autonomously and travel as required
