Are you motivated by having full responsibility for some of the most well-known brands in Denmark? Do you have the skills to proactively and independently drive key strategic projects? Then this exciting position in Arla Denmark’s marketing department might be the right opportunity for you


 


We are looking for a Brand manager in the “Cheese " category in Arla Denmark. Your main focus area will be the Specialty Cheese category. You will join one of the biggest marketing departments in Denmark working with some of the strongest brands in FMCG together with 50 strong and dedicated colleagues based in Aarhus (Viby) and report to the Category Director of ‘Cheese, BSM & Cooking’, Jacob Skovgaard Jørvad.


How you will make an impact


Day-to-day you will have full brand ownership of our well-established brands Castello®, Arla Unika Umage®, BUKO® & Lillebror®, working with a broad range of marketing related tasks and responsibilities, on both a strategic and operational level. You will have a large contact base working with both external partners, different types of internal and external agencies and of course internal colleagues across functions and countries. You will secure that our brand & product portfolio meets the needs of the categories they play in, in alignment with our customers and consumers needs.


Additionally, you’ll be responsible for further accelerating the growth of the specialty cheese category. Ambitious goals have been set, but it will be up to you to drive the journey towards them in a complex competitor and stakeholder landscape. In addition you will also be the lead towards the Global Castello team, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment on the strategic direction for the Castello brand in DK


Main tasks will be:



  • Day-to-day lead on the specialty cheese category strategy plan – operational and strategic responsibility in a large matrix team of several stakeholders

  • Lead the dialogue with the Global Castello team, giving input to the creative direction, innovation portfolio and ensure flawless execution of global Castello initiatives

  • Brand responsibility for Castello®, Arla Unika Umage®, BUKO® & Lillebror® – product and pipeline portfolio, trade/activation plans in close cooperation with the sales team etc.

  • Campaign and toolkit plans in close collaboration with agencies and stakeholders

  • Follow up on performance on both brands and categories and budget responsibility across the four brands

  • Lead selected innovation and cross-category projects


 


What will make you successful


The ideal candidate brings solid experience from a marketing position ideally from FMCG or the food industry and dives into all tasks with enthusiasm and a smile. You are strong at building good relationships and motivating all your stakeholders to win with you. You understand how to use all the support functions around you, but ultimately you are responsible for brand and category performance – and that motivates you to take lead, set the agenda, and prioritize what to focus on.


As a person you are independent, proactive, out-going and used to taking the lead. Your positive attitude gives energy to the people around you. You have several years of experience, preferably from FMCG, within marketing or equivalent. You understand how to draft a strategy and work towards it in a structured way. Preferably, you know the fundamentals of brand building and how to create strong trade plans in close cooperation with the sales team.


Fluent English both oral and written is a prerequisite. Danish is an advantage.
