CAPEX Project Leader, Arla Foods - Aarhus

Are you a strong project leader who can connect people across all levels and drive CAPEX projects from idea to execution?

You will join our CAPEX Execution team within Engineering & Technology, working closely with production sites across Denmark and reporting to the Associate Director Regional Lead CAPEX DK. In this role, you will act as the key link between site teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment, trust, and successful delivery in complex environments.

How you will make an impact

In this role, you will lead CAPEX projects across Danish production sites, ensuring strong execution from early concept to final handover. You will play a central role in bringing stakeholders together, driving cultural adoption, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality. More specifically, you will:

• Lead CAPEX projects from exploration to handover following the Arla Stage Model


• Develop and present business cases and project plans for major investments (+2 mEUR)


• Drive execution including tendering, contracting, construction, and commissioning


• Manage and align stakeholders across all levels, from site to senior leadership


• Deliver projects according to agreed timelines, cost, and quality standards

You should expect regular travel and physical presence across our sites in Denmark.

What will make you successful

You hold a relevant technical education such as a Marine Engineer or another engineering-related degree, giving you a solid understanding of technical and operational environments. However, your primary strength lies in your ability to connect people, create alignment, and lead projects end-to-end.

You are a grounded and confident project leader with strong stakeholder management capabilities and excellent communication skills. You engage effectively across all organisational levels, from site employees to senior stakeholders, building trust through clear and relatable communication. You thrive in environments with diverse cultures and personalities and are able to adapt your approach while maintaining direction and credibility.

You bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully in terms of time, cost, and quality. With your resilient and robust mindset, you are able to stand your ground when needed while maintaining strong relationships and earning respect and trust across the organisation.
