Content Excellence Subject Matter Expert (SME) - DK/ES

About the role 

As a Content Excellence Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will work closely with clients and colleagues to address complex challenges across the life sciences value chain. You will take ownership of your work and contribute to delivering solutions that create real, lasting impact.

We are expanding our Commercial Content Excellence team to match the growing needs of the industry, and we are looking for a Subject Matter Expert to help us continue leading the way in commercial and medical content for life science clients. The Content Excellence practice area combines highly specialised business knowledge of the pharma commercial domain with in-depth technology expertise, to maximise the value our clients create from their digital platforms. The team specialises in core Commercial and Medical Content processes and supports platforms such as Veeva Vault PromoMats and Vault Medical, together with the wider commercial content ecosystem – content authoring platforms, digital asset management systems, and the emerging AI capabilities around them.

As a Content Excellence SME, your activities span both delivery and portfolio. You are the person clients and colleagues turn to when a content process question needs an authoritative answer, and the person who turns what we learn on projects into repeatable, sellable offerings.

Your key responsibilities

Delivery

• Act as Subject Matter Expert on our projects, providing insight to the team on content processes, use cases, ways of working and challenges.


• Act as a point of contact for the project team towards customer stakeholders, up to and including senior client sponsors.


• Lead and facilitate design workshops, process assessments and requirement gathering sessions with customers.


• Advise and guide customers on content and digital asset management principles, ensuring available platform functionality is applied appropriately.


• Identify areas of AI growth and opportunity in the commercial content and/or medical space, and translate them into concrete client value.


• Build and strengthen client relationships, identifying and managing upselling opportunities.

Portfolio

• Identify and implement new offerings, and changes to the current offering catalogue, in line with industry trends.


• Identify new use cases, tools, processes and methodologies to amplify our offering capabilities.


• Develop compelling value propositions.


• Build the go-to-market approach for the Content Excellence offering.


• Define standards and best practice and ensure they are understood and applied consistently across our delivery teams.

Organisation and team

• Form part of the Content Excellence leadership team.


• Work alongside the Consulting Lead, the Delivery team and the Portfolio team on proposals and bids.


• Contribute to the growth of the Content Excellence team, including the recruitment, onboarding and coaching of new team members.


• Continuously build knowledge in the IT solutions and business areas where BASE is a leader – we are looking for like-minded people who are curious and constantly seek new knowledge.

What makes you the best person for this job?

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious specialist who is as comfortable shaping an offering as running a client workshop. On top of this, you have the following competences:

• 5+ years of experience from a consulting company, ideally operating in the pharmaceutical industry, or direct industry expertise from a commercial content team.


• Deep working knowledge of Veeva Vault PromoMats and the surrounding commercial content ecosystem, including the end-to-end MLR review process.


• Strong project and stakeholder management experience.


• Ability to distil business requirements into solution scenarios, and to draw solution scenarios from different client inputs.


• Creative thinking abilities to build unique offerings and identify use cases and opportunities within the AI space.


• Outstanding presentation skills – able to create compelling material and present confidently to diverse audiences, up to executive level.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.


• A proactive mindset with a can-do attitude and curiosity to learn.


• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional and remote teams.

It will be a plus if you have these additional capabilities:

• Veeva Vault certification.


• Experience with Vault Medical, content authoring platforms or digital asset management solutions.


• Understanding of GxP and computer system validation requirements.


• Knowledge of Vault CRM, IQVIA and/or Salesforce solutions.


• Experience working in global or otherwise regulated environments.


• Practical experience with both agile and waterfall delivery approaches.

Where you will be based

The position will ideally be based in Denmark or Spain.
