Finance Controller - Manufacturing & Transformation

As Finance Controller - Manufacturing & Transformation, you will join the Finance & ESG Controlling team in Struer, Denmark, taking ownership of inventory, product costing, and manufacturing controlling while driving the transformation of critical finance processes and systems. You will work closely with Operations, Factory teams, Business Controlling, and IT to ensure robust financial performance. Your expertise will support both day-to-day controlling activities and strategic initiatives, including the transition to a new ERP system. 

Key responsibilities 

• 
  

  Own and continuously develop financial controlling of inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).  

  
  

• 
  

  Ensure accurate inventory valuation, including provisions and write-down calculations.  

  
  

• 
  

  Maintain and improve standard costing models and production overhead calculations.  

  
  

• 
  

  Analyse standard-to-actual cost variances and translate findings into meaningful business actions.  

  
  

• 
  

  Take responsibility for manufacturing and factory controlling, providing insights into operational performance and efficiency.  

  
  

• 
  

  Drive simplification, standardisation, and automation of inventory and costing processes.  

  
  

• 
  

  Support the ERP transformation journey, ensuring Finance requirements, controls, and reporting needs are embedded in the future solution.  

  
  

What you bring 

You are an analytical finance professional with strong experience in manufacturing environments and a passion for continuous improvement. You combine solid controlling expertise with the ability to challenge existing ways of working and drive transformation across processes, systems, and stakeholders.  

Moreover, you bring: 

• 
  

  Experience within manufacturing finance, cost controlling, financial controlling, or a similar role in an international organisation.  

  
  

• 
  

  Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, product costing, COGS controlling, and manufacturing finance principles.  

  
  

• 
  

  A strong understanding of financial controlling and accounting principles, preferably within an IFRS environment.  

  
  

• 
  

  Experience with improving, standardising, and automating finance processes.  

  
  

• 
  

  Strong ERP knowledge, ideally including SAP and/or Dynamics 365, with ERP implementation or transformation experience considered an advantage.  

  
  

• 
  

  A collaborative and business-oriented mindset with the ability to engage stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Factory, and IT.
