Global Head of FinOps MPL

We are looking for a Global Head of FinOps to join Maersk Project Logistics (MPL), supporting the continued evolution of our global operating model. 

MPL operates in a complex and fast-moving environment, delivering tailored logistics solutions for oversized and specialised cargo. As a result, our financial processes today are highly diverse across regions, with opportunities to improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.

This role will play a key part in bringing structure, standardisation, and visibility to our global financial operations. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Drive global standardisation of financial operational processes 

• Improve financial data quality, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy 

• Identify and reduce backlogs, inefficiencies, and manual work 

• Translate data into clear insights and actionable improvements 

• Partner closely with:  

• Regional FinOps teams 

• Finance stakeholders (controllers, business partners) 

• Operations teams across MPL 

• Support the transition of activities to our GSC teams

What we’re looking for 

• Strong background in finance or financial operations 

• Experience working with data, reporting, and performance insights 

• Proven track record in process improvement or operational excellence 

• Ability to navigate complexity and drive change across a matrix organisation 

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills

** Experience in logistics or forwarding is beneficial but not .
