Head of Development ADME, Måløv, Denmark

Position:

In the position as head of Development ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion) you will develop and execute strategy for own area as well as influence the area’s functional strategy, including setting clear objectives and deliver results to the projects and organisation.

Your new role you will be: 

• Leading the department in line with Novo Nordisk Way. Managing approximately 10-15 specialists and lab technicians within own scientific area, being accountable for team performance and results.


• Identifying needs and opportunities for overall strategic changes in the culture and organisation or in the way by which the business is positioned.


• Ensuring scientific expertise within Development ADME, including input to due diligence tasks. Ensuring adaptation of departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges and setting direction for the department, including project responsibilities. Decisions are guided by strategic and tactical priorities and require complex analysis of situations and data.


• Driving continuous scientific and operational improvements to meet business goals. Working in accordance with current guidelines and regulations.


• Maintaining relationships and partnerships with global internal and external stakeholders in ways that accomplish key business objectives.

Your skills and qualifications 

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: 

• A Master’s degree in natural sciences and PhD and/or relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry. 


• 5+ years of experience within ADME and “Drug-Drug Interaction” in drug development.


• Management experience would be an advantage.


• Effective communication (written and verbal) and influence skills, including the ability to present complex scientific information clearly.


• Proven ability to navigate complexity and operate independently, delivering high-quality scientific outcomes in dynamic environments.


• Ownership of high-impact decisions, independence, strong quality mindset will be an asset, meeting deadlines, and display high integrity and accountability.


• You bring a patient-centric, innovative approach and strategic mindset, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment with high-performing colleagues.

You will join us in Development ADME, where we identify and characterize the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion of drugs and assess the” Drug-Drug Interaction” potential of a drug.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 847,000.00 to 1,245,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.  

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
