Head of Process Sciences

The Head of Process Science is responsible for leading the Process Science in the Large Scale Manufacturing and Assembly Label & Pack plants through the Manufacturing Science, the Program Management & Tech Transfer interface to partners.

This role is the key overall customer interface for new products, processes and changes from partners and programs. The role will be essential in driving new customer base as well as prepare for complete E2E Process Development and MS as Drug Product capabilities are being built to form an entire Process Science Team.

The Head of Process Science is responsible for directing all strategic, tactical and operational aspects of the group in order to support the bulk drug substances and Assembly Label & Pack. A close collaboration with Manufacturing, Global Engineering & Facilities, Quality, Regulatory, CMC and Tech Development is needed in order to ensure initiatives and Projects meet the business objectives. as well as the collaboration with the Business Development group

The Head of Process Science is responsible for directing all strategic, tactical and operational aspects of the group.:
- Manages deparment budget, which includes developing, implementation, and tracking of department expenditures - Collaborates closely with the sites in Solothurn and RTP to develop and implement systematic approach to contious imporvement.
- Ensures the harmonization of practices across Process groups/functions and across other Biogen Process organizations.
- Provides global guidance in standards and practices.

The Head of Process Science will provide overall directing for an organization encompassing up to 100 FTEs with full regulatory accountability affective overall product delivery.

The key deliverables of this position has significant impact on the process performance of the manufacturing plants and the development of processes as well as Program Management of Customer programs. In addition, this position impacts the "On-Time" completion of scheduled batch fills, program transfer timelines and compliance activities.

This position will interact with the Site Leadership Team on a daily basis to ensure priorities are aligned, resources are properly allocated and strategic and tactical objectives are on track.
