How you will make an impact

As our new Insurance Manager, you will be a part of a global organisation with broad, global exposure to all aspects within the insurance area. You will be responsible for managing your part of Arla’s global insurances while also supporting the Insurance Director in delivering on the Insurance Strategy. You will play an important role in ensuring a resilient insurance set up for Arla Foods. The responsibilities include your own portfolio of Arla’s insurance programs, ensure adequate coverage, lead placement, optimise total cost of risk, and improve processes across all markets. As an expert, you will be the insurance business partner to Arla colleagues across the globe.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Manage our global non-life stand-alone insurances in 28 countries


• Manage a part of our master insurance portfolio in 28 countries


• Renewal process and placement


• Captive placement and processes


• Support the business in daily insurance tasks and claims processes


• Delivering on Arla Insurance strategy


• Optimise and design insurance related processes


• Optimise Total Cost of Risk


• Drive and manage projects

You will become a part of an impactful Treasury, Insurance& Pension team, who is globally responsible for financial risk management, insurable risk and insurances, and defined pensions schemes.  You will be based together with the team in Arla’s HQ in Aarhus. You will report functionally to the Insurance Director.

What will make you successful

We are looking for an ambitious performance-orientated candidate with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who has the ability to influence, challenge and succeed. You work structured. You enjoy collaboration across functions and can deliver impact and results in a global organisation.

We expect you to hold a relevant Insurance degree, or a university degree in law, economics, or similar. You bring experience within corporate insurances providing you with a solid understanding of insurance processes and risk management. You are confident working with numbers and have a strong legal understanding combined with proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Corporate language in Arla is English.
