We offer a dynamic Laboratory Manager position as part of our Household Care Applied R&D organization. You will be reporting to one of the department managers in the area managing a team of 8-12 laboratory technicians working closely together with scientists in the department as well as colleagues in Core R&D, Technical Service and Marketing.

We are part of Household Care Applied R&D developing bio solutions to improve the laundry and dishwash experience for millions of consumers around the globe. Our area consists of three departments each covering 18-22 scientists and laboratory technicians working closely together under agile principles where flexibility and prioritization are key elements. We are involved in all stages of the innovation process from early scoping of new solutions, progressing ongoing new product development and near-to-market projects and supporting the deployment of existing solutions.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Leading and developing a high-performing team of 8-12 laboratory technicians, fostering an innovative and collaborative culture

• Strategically managing resources to align with new product development projects, customer events and other activities

• Enhancing data usage through digital tools, data insights and a culture of continuous improvement

• In addition to people leader responsibilities part of your role will be dedicated to application science e.g. planning lab trials, taking part in project meetings and contributing to our innovation processes

Potentially relevant experience:

• MSc degree in engineering, chemistry, biochemistry or related field; potentially combined with a PhD

• Work experience from application science area and a strong interest in converting scientific knowledge into solutions to everyday problems

• Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and/or leading technical projects

• Deep understanding of laboratory practices, preferably with experience working with enzymes and/or Household Care

• Leadership skills, with the ability to coach and motivate teams

• A strong personal drive as well as a flair for collaborating and communicating with different colleagues and stakeholders
