Your workplace will be our New Product Development laboratory which is part of the Innovation Centre of Arla Foods Ingredients in Nr. Vium. You will be a new hire in a team of innovative product developers with strong expertise in biochemistry and process technology. Together with scientists and technicians in the team and across functions, you will develop new milk-based ingredients and deliver powerful nutrition to the world.

How you will make an impact 

As a laboratory technician in the Product Exploration team, you will work with product and process development in down-scaled model systems. You will collaborate with scientists to support ideation and new product development activities. You will perform experiments and provide the knowledge and data to support our ideas and enable us to make decisions about new processes and possibilities.

Some of your key day to day responsibilities will include; 

• Partnering with scientists to coordinate and plan experiments in the new product development laboratory


• Writing protocols,  performing experiments, analyzing data and concluding on results


• Maintaining stocks of laboratory supplies and ensuring that equipment is functional including equipment calibrations and coordination of maintenance


• Developing and introducing new methods, processes and equipment

What will make you successful 

You are a trained laboratory technician with experience from a similar position in the industry or from academic positions. Ideally, you have worked with protein purification and separation, protein characterization and/or process technologies and related laboratory-scale equipment.

As a person, you are collaborative, build positive relationships across teams, and naturally share knowledge and discuss ideas with your colleagues. You take pride in structured and accurate documentation and are proactively troubleshooting and improving your trial setups. The job will require you to work with many different technologies and projects, and we expect that you thrive while learning about new equipment and new methods.
