Job Description - Manager, DevSecOps, Lystrup



 


Would you like to play a key role in strengthening and scaling our Internal Developer Platform in a complex and high-impact environment? In this role, you will lead our DevSecOps team and help improve how our shared developer platform is delivered and used across R&D.

We are therefore looking for Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.


 


Your role in our team


 


You will take on a key leadership role in ensuring the DevSecOps platform is delivered and operated in a stable, scalable, and predictable way across R&D.


 


You will lead a team of 8+ platform engineers responsible for our shared developer toolchain – including build systems, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and supporting infrastructure in a fully on-premise, regulated environment.


The platform is widely used across projects, and demand continues to grow. This creates a natural tension between new needs, ongoing improvements, and operational stability. Your role is to bring clarity to this – by setting priorities, making trade-offs together with stakeholders, and ensuring the team stays focused on what matters most.


 


You will also help strengthen how we work as a platform organization. That includes improving structure, ways of working, and reducing reactive work so the team can operate in a more predictable and proactive way over time.


You will work closely with a platform architect (currently being recruited). The architect defines the technical direction, while you are accountable for delivery – including prioritization, team execution, and overall performance of the platform team.


 


How you will make a meaningful contribution


 


Your key responsibilities include:


 





    • Leading and developing a team of experienced platform engineers, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and a strong focus on delivery

    • Owning delivery across the team – setting priorities, managing competing demands from projects and stakeholders, and making clear trade-offs when needed

    • Bringing structure and predictability to how the team works, improving planning, transparency, and follow-through

    • Helping reduce fragmentation by supporting a newly established Platform Enabling Team, driving standardization and shared practices across R&D

    • Building strong working relationships across projects, IT, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment while also protecting focus and delivery capacity

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement.


 


We are looking for a leader who brings:


 





    • Experience leading technical teams in environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities

    • Strong delivery mindset, with the ability to prioritize, make trade-offs, and keep progress moving under pressure

    • A solid understanding of platform engineering / DevSecOps (not necessarily hands-on), and how shared platforms are used across multiple teams

    • Experience working across organizational boundaries, including aligning stakeholders and navigating dependencies in a structured way

    • A track record of improving ways of working, increasing structure, and strengthening team delivery in technical environments




 


As a leader, you bring clarity and calm to situations where priorities are not always aligned. You are comfortable making decisions and explaining them, especially when trade-offs are needed. You are close enough to the team to understand execution challenges, while still being able to step back and ensure focus and direction are maintained. You balance collaboration with firmness – working constructively across the organization while protecting the team’s ability to deliver.
