Manager, Embedded Software

We are looking for a skilled embedded software manager, to lead and guide one of our key embedded development teams for Bang & Olufsen's larger audio products.

Your Mission 

You will enable us to accomplish this by guiding the team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our platform features. We are utilizing the latest and most advanced dual-core radio SoC with an iMX8 application processor,  and a modern development toolchain. 

Moreover, you will:

  Provide manager support when required, ensuring a smooth operational flow on a day-to-day basis.

  Driving improvements, both process and technical. 

  
  

• 
  

  Stakeholder management towards product management, product marketing, and product platforms. 

  
  

• 
  

  Recruit, mentor, and develop Embedded Developers across the team. 

  
  

• 
  

  Cultivate a high-performing team, continuously support them in improving their development and capabilities.  

  
  

What you bring 
We’re seeking a team leader or manager who is knowledgeable in embedded software development using Scrum methodology. 

Moreover, you bring: 

• 
  

  The ability to develop efficient teams and support them in continuously improving their development maturity, methodologies, and processes. 

  
  

• 
  

  Operational focus and collaborative leadership. 

  
  

• 
  

  Good working knowledge of multithreaded programming,continuous integration, automatic testing, and software architectural principles. 

  
  

• 
  

  Experience working with modern C++ using Linux. 

  
  

• 
  

  A creative and innovative spirit 

  
  

• 
  

  Eagerness to improve normal software development practices. 

  
  

• 
  

  A degree in computer science or similar.

  Fluent communication skills in English.

As part of the Software Solutions team, you will have close collaboration with other teams in the company, such as our app and cloud infrastructure teams. As such, you will have plenty of opportunities to influence our methods and processes and even take responsibility for driving the introduction of platform features and new technologies. 

You will be joining a team that likes to write software in a fun, creative, and informal environment where there is room to try out new technologies and frameworks. We use Scrum with two-week sprints and daily standups.
