Join a leading analysis team in short-term power trading and support the development of quantitative strategies for proprietary trading and asset optimisation.
In this role, you will help optimise our trading performance by developing quantitative models that impact the decision-making process across our trading teams.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
developing and enhancing quantitative models to drive trading decisions
taking active part in coding algorithmic trading infrastructure and optimisation engines used for live trading
conducting market research and strategy analysis aimed at improving overall PnL and operational robustness
collaborating with team members to ensure the operational stability of algorithms and tools developed by the team
As our new quantitative analyst, you will join our Intraday Analysis team, where we support the trading and asset optimisation teams by building quantitative models and trading tools. Our primary area of responsibility is to develop strategies, trading tools, and quantitative models that enable decision-making for our proprietary trading and asset business.
We are a team of 6 specialists in energy trading with backgrounds in economics and mathematics. We are a curious, dedicated, and highly analytical team who always strive to improve processes, systems, and strategies to fine-tune the infrastructural engine of our power trading business.
As you will be developing models and analyses used for decision-making, we are looking for someone who has a data-driven approach and an eye for market risks while also evaluating other factors in your analyses. Also, as we operate in an ever-changing market, we see you as someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can quickly adapt to market conditions.
We also imagine that you:
have an educational background in a quantitative field, for example, economics, mathematics, physics, statistics, data science, or engineering
have experience in a similar position, either in the energy industry, the financial markets or similar
have solid coding skills with the ability to write production-level Python code
have great communication skills as you should be able to explain your analyses to stakeholders who do not have the same insights as our team
are proficient in English - both written and verbal
