Senior AI Architect – LLM Governance, Guardrails & Open Source AI

Do you want to help shape how AI is responsibly used in critical public digital infrastructure?

At Twoday, we are looking for a senior AI Architect to help design the technical foundation, governance patterns and guardrails for large-scale citizen-facing AI solutions in the Danish public sector.

This is not a research role. It is a practical architecture and advisory role focused on building AI systems that are secure, maintainable and production-ready.

About the role

You will work closely with an experienced internal development team and help establish the architectural foundations for AI-powered solutions, including citizen-facing chatbots and intelligent assistants.

The client is intentionally building an open-source AI ecosystem based on:

• Open-weight models

• LangChain and RAG architectures

• Kubernetes

• EU-based cloud hosting providers (e.g. Hetzner, Scaleway, OVHcloud)

The role combines:

• AI architecture

• governance and guardrails

• technical leadership

• hands-on troubleshooting and review

Your responsibilities

You will:

• Design baseline architecture and technical frameworks for AI solutions

• Define and review guardrails for citizen-facing LLM systems

• Advise on architecture, integration patterns and model strategies

• Perform code reviews and architecture reviews

• Help establish secure patterns for prompt handling, retrieval and model execution

• Support the internal team with complex technical and quality-related challenges

• Define fallback strategies between AI models and services

• Help establish logging, monitoring and auditability patterns

We are looking for someone who has experience with

• Citizen-facing LLM solutions in production

• Architecture for chatbot flows and conversational systems

• Guardrails, prompt design and scope limitation

• Protection against prompt injection and jailbreaking

• Red team testing of AI systems

• Open-source models and EU-based AI services

• RAG architectures and AI orchestration frameworks

• AI governance, auditability and operational quality

And also:

• Fluent Danish and English, written and spoken

• Strong advisory and stakeholder skills

• Ability to work hands-on when needed

It is an advantage if you also have experience with

• LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks

• Kubernetes and container-based deployment

• GDPR, NIS2 and the EU AI Act

• Monitoring and evaluation of LLM quality

• Public sector digital solutions

• You build technical foundations others can maintain

• You understand the difference between AI prototypes and AI systems in production

• You are comfortable balancing governance, speed and usability
