Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer for AI Solutions

Are you interested in contributing to the development and deployment of AI solutions at one of the leading AI consultancies in the Nordics? We’re looking for a senior cloud and infrastructure engineer with strong hands-on experience in deploying modern applications in Microsoft Azure.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll become a member of our AI team in the Tech Collective, a cross-functional group of colleagues with backgrounds in ML/AI development, conversational design, and strategic transformation. While you don’t need to be an AI specialist, what matters most is your ability to architect, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable platforms that power advanced AI applications, along with a willingness to learn.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

▪ Designing and operating cloud infrastructure for AI systems: Architecting secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments for AI-powered applications across Azure and other cloud providers.

▪ Containerisation and orchestration: Deploying containerised services using Docker and cloud-native tools, configuring CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring smooth operational workflows.

▪ Networking, security, and access management: Designing robust architectures including VNETs, private endpoints, API gateways, identity configurations, and monitoring setups for enterprise-grade deployments.

▪ Collaborating with cross-functional AI projects: Working closely with backend, full-stack, and AI engineers to enable the deployment and operation of modern agent-based and generative AI applications.

▪ Infrastructure-as-code and automation: Implementing automated provisioning using modern tools and ensuring reproducible, maintainable environments for client projects.

▪ Solution-level architecture design: Creating system designs, understanding how all software components interact, and guiding teams on best practices for production deployment.

▪ Performance, monitoring, & observability: Implementing logging, metrics, and monitoring stacks to ensure reliable operation of AI applications.

▪ Staying current with modern cloud technologies: Evaluating new cloud services, deployment patterns, and security practices relevant to AI-intensive workloads.

What you’ll bring

This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, containerisation, networking, and secure deployments who is excited to apply these skills to build and operate cutting-edge AI solutions.

We’d prefer it if you have a minimum of three years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud-based applications.

On top of that, we’d love it if you know your way around (most of) the following:

▪ Cloud platforms:

Hands-on experience with Azure services used for production deployments (e.g., App Services, Container Apps, Functions, API gateways, load balancers).

▪ Containerisation and CI/CD:

Proficient with Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar).

▪ Infrastructure-as-code:

Experience with IaC tools such as Bicep or Terraform for provisioning cloud resources.

▪ Networking and connectivity:

Familiar with cloud networking concepts such as VNETs/VPCs, subnets, routing, private endpoints, and secure service-to-service communication.

▪ Authentication and access control:

Experience configuring modern identity and authentication mechanisms (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID, OAuth2, OIDC) for securing applications and services.

▪ Backend and system understanding:

Comfortable working with backend Python code, understanding service interactions, and supporting teams in deploying distributed systems.

▪ Monitoring and reliability:

Experience working with cloud monitoring stacks (Azure Monitor, Application Insights etc.) and setting up logs, metrics, and alerts.

▪ Interest in AI operations:

Curiosity about deploying AI/LLM-based systems and interest in working closely with AI engineers to operate secure client solutions.

▪ Problem-solving and communication:

Strong ability to analyse technical challenges and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
