Senior Demand Planner (Maternity Cover, 12 months), Arla Foods Ingredients - Aarhus

How you will make an impact

As a Senior Demand Planner, you will take ownership of the demand planning process and act as a key link between demand data, systems, and business stakeholders. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, and IT to ensure accurate forecasting and strong decision-making. In this 12-month maternity cover you will be part of the AFI Global planning organization within the Demand Planning team, where demand planning is closely integrated with Supply Planning , offering a unique opportunity to work end-to-end with the demand planning process.

In this role, you will:

• Own and drive the demand planning process and deliver a consensus forecast


• Lead monthly forecasting cycles and contribute to the demand process


• Prepare demand review materials,  facilitate Demand review meetings and alignment across stakeholders


• Develop scenario planning and analysis to assess demand volatility


• Drive continuous improvements and take the role as key user for demand planning systems and processes (e.g. SAP IBP)


• Monitor demand performance and drive continuous improvement on forecast KPIs


• Maintain and optimize demand planning master data in systems


• Onboard and training relevant stakeholders on the demand planning process and systems

What will make you successful

To succeed in this role, you combine strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into clear business insights. You are comfortable working with complex datasets and systems while maintaining a clear focus on driving value for the business. At the same time, you collaborate effectively across functions and engage stakeholders with confidence to align perspectives and drive decisions.

Further, we imagine that you bring:

• A relevant BSc or MSc degree within Supply Chain, Business, Economics, combined with 3+ years of experience in demand planning or commercial/customer analytics


• Strong experience with planning tools such as SAP IBP (or similar), as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis; experience with Power BI is an advantage


• Solid knowledge of forecasting methods and statistics, and the ability to apply these in a business context


• A strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to turn data into actionable insights and decision support


• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the confidence to facilitate alignment and challenge stakeholders when needed


• The ability to bridge business needs and IT/system solutions, ensuring smooth integration between technical and commercial perspectives
