Senior Director - Head of Nordic AI, Claims

About the role | Drive AI strategy and business impact 

As Head of Nordic AI you will define and execute the AI strategy within a business domain, setting a clear strategic direction for 2 AI delivery teams (Each with a Product Owner and Team lead) 

You will operate at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with senior business stakeholders to ensure strong ownership, anchoring, and adoption of AI products - driving real change in core processes and ways of working. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Translating business goals into a clear AI vision and prioritized domain roadmap 


• Setting and maintaining strategic direction for product teams, anchored in business objectives 


• Leading and coaching Product Owners and product teams to deliver impactful and innovative solutions 


• Identifying, prioritizing, and scaling AI use cases across the full customer journey 


• Driving strong stakeholder alignment and anchoring AI initiatives across 3 Business Units 


• Ensuring adoption of AI solutions by embedding them into core processes and workflows 


• Driving change initiatives that transform not only technology but also ways of working in the Business Units 


• Collaborating across Tryg to align with strategy and leverage synergies at scale 

In this role, you will orchestrate value creation across teams rather than managing individual products - ensuring that AI delivers tangible business outcomes and drives meaningful transformation across the domain. 

About you | Strategic leader with strong execution power 

We are looking for a strategic and pragmatic leader who combines strong product leadership with business acumen and AI understanding. You thrive in complexity, lead through others, and know how to translate direction into results. 

You succeed best if you: 

• Have proven experience leading multiple product teams in complex organizations 


• Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and drive execution end-to-end  


• Bring strong business understanding - ideally within insurance processes such as claims, pricing, or customer journeys 


• Navigate senior stakeholders with credibility and influence, including executive levels 


• Build high-performing, diverse teams and actively develop Product Owners 


• Drive change and ensure adoption - not just delivery of technical solutions  


• Are tech-fluent within AI, data, and modern product environments  


• Demonstrate self-awareness, accountability, and actively seek and give feedback


• Are fluent in Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish, and have professional-level English proficiency

It is an advantage if you have experience with AI operating models, MLOps, and/or GenAI, and governance, as well as a track record of delivering measurable business impact through AI or data-driven products.
