Senior IT Product Architect - Retail - Aarhus or Gdansk

How you will make an impact
You will be responsible for defining and driving the architectural direction across Arla's Retail & Commercial Technology landscape. Working closely with the Head of Product, Product Owners, business stakeholders and engineering teams, you will help shape technology roadmaps, guide architectural decisions and ensure solutions deliver business value while remaining scalable, maintainable and aligned with Arla's strategic direction. You will act as the architectural anchor for the domain, supporting business leaders, product leadership and technical teams at strategic, tactical and operational levels. Furthermore, you will:

• Drive architectural direction across products, platforms, data products and integrations


• Partner with the Head of Product and business leaders to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning


• Translate business strategy into technology roadmaps, investment recommendations and architectural priorities


• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, product leadership and engineering teams, helping balance business goals, architectural integrity and technology investments


• Provide architectural leadership and guidance to product teams, engineers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technology direction


• Support decision-making at strategic, tactical and operational levels across the domain


• Coach and challenge stakeholders in architectural thinking, solution design and technology choices


• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, Machine Learning and Data Products, and identify opportunities to create business value


• Drive long-term architectural integrity across the technology landscape

What will make you successful
You thrive in complex and interconnected business environments where technology, data and commercial processes come together. You combine architectural depth with strong stakeholder management skills and understand that successful architecture is as much about alignment and influence as technology. Further, the ideal candidate brings:

• Experience as a Product Architect, Solution Architect or similar role in a complex enterprise environment


• Strong understanding of integration architecture and modern application landscapes


• Experience shaping technology strategy, roadmaps and architectural direction


• Business understanding from retail, commercial or related domains


• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide decisions across business, product and technology teams


• A track record of turning business needs into technology outcomes

This position is based in Aarhus, Denmark or Gdańsk, Poland, and applicants should be in one of these locations as 50% office presence is expected.
