How you will make an impact

Right now, product development data is fragmented across R&D, product development, PLM and enterprise systems. Your job is to define and own the architecture that connects experimentation with how products and production processes are developed, creating a consistent flow from early innovation to industrialisation and handover to supply chain. The starting point is shaping and guiding the architectural direction of the digital innovation platform and integrating it across the enterprise. Your key responsibilities include:

• Own the architecture of Arla’s innovation lifecycle, from experiment to the point where products and production processes are ready for industrialisation


• Lead the architectural direction of the new digital innovation platform, ensuring it is successfully delivered and is adopted as a core part of product development workflows


• Design and own the integration architecture connecting the platform to PLM (e.g. 3DX), ERP and downstream systems, establishing a consistent flow from early innovation into product lifecycle management and beyond


• Set the architectural principles that take ideas from proof-of-concept to scalable, production-grade solutions, including resolving conflicting data models and system boundaries across teams


• Design how data and AI are embedded into the product development lifecycle, ensuring experiments, insights and decisions scale consistently across the organisation

What will make you successful

You are a senior architect who has led platforms at significant scale and knows how to get them delivered and adopted. You bring both strategic clarity and hands-on depth, and you are equally comfortable with scientists, engineers and business leaders. We imagine the ideal candidate brings:

• Senior solution or platform architecture experience, with a track record of complex implementations that stuck across multi-stakeholder environments


• Strong data modelling depth, with the ability to design domain models for R&D or product data and bring both engineers and scientists along


• Deep integration architecture experience across APIs, event-driven patterns and complex enterprise landscapes


• The ability to set clear direction, make sound trade-offs and contribute hands-on when it counts


• Experience in product-led or agile environments, guiding teams from concept to scalable solutions


• The confidence to align, influence and challenge at senior level across R&D and technology leadership
