Senior Program Manager

DENWERX is a neutral facilitator and trusted partner, connecting an international network of individuals, businesses, educators and government organizations to enable creative and integrated solutions for our partners across Denmark and the world. DENWERX (DNWX) is a Danish innovation hub governed by the DENWERX Association and established with the strategic support and guidance of GLOBALWERX (GWX), a 501(c)(3) and the international sister organization of DEFENSEWERX (defensewerx.org). The Senior Program Manager will receive strategic guidance and operational oversight from GWX to establish and grow this new venture in Denmark.

Through this relationship, DENWERX will leverage the experience, best practices, and proven innovation hub model established by DEFENSEWERX, with the Senior Program Manager playing a crucial role in realizing this vision.

The Senior Program Manager will collaborate with advisors and partner organizations to build a strong operational foundation, adapt proven practices to the Danish market, and support the long-term success of DENWERX.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Program Manager works closely with DENWERX innovation hub leadership and staff to oversee the investigation, design, implementation, and support of innovation and tech challenges and other technology transfer and transition initiatives. The Senior Program Manager develops initiatives that invite and compel submissions from businesses, universities, and individual innovators. The Senior Program Manager collaborates proactively with the DENWERX government partner, economic development professionals, business associations, academic consortia, and other key referral sources. This role delivers cost-schedule-performance expertise on all projects and innovation opportunities and collaborates with the Hub Director, DENWERX hub team, and government partner to ensure the growth of DENWERX program and its alignment to the government partner and Danish national security imperatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support team roles in project planning and tracking, systems optimization, tech evaluation, activity reporting, promotional messaging, and market research


• Collaborate with other team members to scout, validate, and incorporate technical and planning tools to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness


• Build and foster tech and process-focused relationships with GWX and other DoD/Industry/Academia customers, as well as GWX innovation hubs


• Supervises, coaches, and develops the project team and contributes directly to the identification and selection of new team members


• Identify and develop new partnerships with organizations, networks and groups to scale and participate in marketing/communications efforts to disseminate content and project opportunities


• Expand and strengthen processes with marketing/communications and events teams to engage customer leads within industry and government sectors


• Provide the Director with strategic input and collaboration


• Support and attend key engagements to represent GLOBALWERX (technology and industry forums, showcases, events, and/or speeches)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, program management, or a related field or commensurate, aligned defense or professional experience


• Minimum 6 years’ aligned professional or defense experience


• Experience with web-based program management tools and core program and project management competencies


• Program management experience in a federal innovation program setting strongly preferred


• PMP certification and experience with CRM software preferred

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to pass a background check


• Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a security clearance or successfully obtain and maintain ITAR license


• Must not have any conflicts of interest affecting GLOBALWERX or its partners
