Job Description - Strategic Planning Consultant

Step into a role where you can turn analysis into insight and support strategic decision‑making across the business. As a Strategic Planning Consultant in Buildings of the Future & Group Sustainability, you will gain hands‑on experience with planning, performance reporting and strategic projects, while developing your professional skills in a collaborative and purpose‑driven environment.

Meet your future team

You will join the Strategic Planning function within Buildings of the Future & Group Sustainability, working closely with colleagues across sustainability, commercial teams, innovation, and expert communities of engineers and architects driving knowledge and building impact. The team enables structured planning processes, performance follow‑up, and strategic initiatives that help set the overall direction of the function. Collaboration, curiosity, and a structured approach are central to how the team operates, and you will be given responsibility early on with strong support from experienced colleagues.

What we offer

In this role, you will contribute to both recurring planning and reporting processes as well as ad‑hoc strategic initiatives. The position offers broad exposure to group‑level activities and close interaction with senior stakeholders, making it an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early‑career professional.

More specifically your tasks will be to:

  • Support preparation, coordination and follow‑up on key planning activities, milestones and deadlines
  • Track progress across initiatives and maintain structured documentation of priorities and deliverables
  • Collect, review and prepare KPI and performance reports, including support on forecasting and budget monitoring
  • Drive planning and target processes as part of our annual wheel ensuring structure, clarity and cross‑functional alignment
  • Prepare agendas and supporting materials for leadership meetings, workshops and department meetings
  • Create clear, compelling and audience‑centric presentations and communication materials for department and senior leadership
  • Consolidate input from multiple stakeholders and ensure timely and high‑quality delivery
  • Assist on strategic projects and ad‑hoc analytical tasks across teams

What you will bring

You are analytical, structured and eager to learn, and you enjoy working at the intersection of data, planning and collaboration.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Hold a master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance or a related field
  • Have 1-2 years of experience, or strong and relevant experience from a student job or internship within strategy, finance, business development or similar areas
  • Possess a solid project management toolbox and strong presentation skills
  • Work in a structured and organised manner and can manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Bring a proactive, collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management skills and curiosity about business processes
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicate fluently in English
