Associate or Senior Associate | Venture Capital & Tech M&A

Who are we looking for?
 
We are now looking for an Associate or a Senior Associate with Venture Capital and Tech M&A focus to join our team. We hope to meet both recent law graduates and more experienced lawyers with solid experience within this field of work.
 
We advise growth companies, venture capital funds, growth equity investors and strategic corporate venture investors in their financing and other matters ranging from equity financing rounds to venture debt, governance and incentives. As part of the Avance M&A team, you would also work on M&A transactions such as exits, buyouts and other corporate transactions in technology-intensive and other industries. Our M&A team is ranked as a Tier 1 M&A legal advisor in all leading legal directories and we are regularly involved in the most significant growth equity investments and technology transactions in the Finnish market. 
 
Depending on seniority, your role will involve assisting in the management of venture capital and M&A transactions, conducting and coordinating due diligence, drafting and negotiating a broad range of investment and transaction documents and working together with our clients and other members of the deal teams. Our venture capital lawyers often have close contact with client teams and founders already at an early stage of their career, allowing you an opportunity to rapidly expand your professional network.  We are looking for you, if…

You share our values of providing first-class service while having fun doing it. You are excited about project work, understand the essence of teamwork and treat everyone with respect. You either have background in venture capital or are interested in taking a deep dive into the intersection of corporate transactions, innovation and growth companies. Our ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Law, complemented by practical work experience from similar work in a law firm environment (such as traineeships or associate position). Fluency in both Finnish and English is a prerequisite as our work has a strong international angle.
