Job Summary

We are developing and building our first datacenter in Koria, Kouvola, in partnership with Hyperco, initial phases planned to be commissioned by the end of 2026. This is a unique opportunity to join the team at an early stage, working on a mission-critical facility developed through joint venture that combines strong local expertise with a global hyperscale platform.

As a Building Services Manager you are responsible for overseeing the security in close collaboration with Security Manager and soft services across multiple buildings within a data centre cluster. Soft Services include cleaning services, waste management, landscaping, pest control, handyman repairs, and all front-of-house facilities such as lifts, gates, and roller shutters. The role ensures that the data centre cluster operates smoothly and securely, providing a safe and efficient environment for all employees and visitors.
 

Key Responsibilities

Vendor and Contractor Management

• Liaise with external contractors and service providers for various facility management services such as cleaning, waste management, landscapes, pest control, property maintenance, repairs and front-of-house facilities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
• Ensure facilities are regularly inspected and maintained to prevent downtime or malfunctions
• Negotiate contracts and ensure services are delivered in accordance with agreements.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

What We’re looking For

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in facilities and vendor management, preferably in a data centre or similar environment.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Finnish is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high integrity and a collaborative working style.
