The role

As a Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability, quality, and timely delivery of purchased materials and products. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to maintaining an efficient and resilient supply chain.

Your responsibilities include:

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of materials aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets


• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement


• Ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance to support uninterrupted business operations


• Identify and implement cost optimisation opportunities while maintaining service excellence and supply security


• Partner closely with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Production, Quality, and other key stakeholders to deliver business objectives


• Support strategic sourcing initiatives to strengthen the supply base


• Drive process improvements and digitalisation initiatives to increase procurement efficiency and effectiveness


• Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships focused on long-term value creation, innovation, sustainability, and supply resilience


• Provide market intelligence, supplier insights, and cost transparency to support informed business decisions


• Contribute to a high-performing procurement function by continuously challenging existing ways of working and bringing new ideas to the table

The position is permanent and located in Rajamäki, Finland.

About you

To succeed in this role, you bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.

Some of your key qualifications are:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field


• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing in Biotechnology, Chemistry or other related industry


• Proven track record in global strategic sourcing, category buying and supplier relationship management


• Strong negotiation and contract management skills


• Deep understanding of procurement processes and ERP systems, preferably SAP MM


• Understanding of quality standards and supplier quality requirements


• Experience working in an international or multinational business environment


• Strong skills in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as modern digital collaboration tools


• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
