Global Corporate Banking Large Cap Executive Director - Helsinki

We are looking to hire our first in-country Global Corporate Banker (Executive Director level) in Helsinki who will be responsible for helping us develop and grow our global business across Finland.  This banker would be responsible for managing relationships across a portfolio of clients across our Large Cap, Mid Cap and Public Sector businesses whilst acting as the first point of contact for our corporate clients on treasury topics.

Our Corporate Banking teams provide traditional corporate banking products as well as investment banking products to its public and private clients, in close alignment and cooperation with product & global coverage partners. Our business partners include product specialists from Payments, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, Treasury Services, Corporate Derivatives, Security Services, Asset Management and Private Banking.

We require an experienced coverage banker capable of executing transactions and ultimately driving business independently, working closely with senior coverage bankers across Nordics. The banker should have proven execution and client relationship skills. Prior banking experience in Finland is required, with strong knowledge of the local market.

Job responsibilities:

• In this specific role, you develop, broaden and deepen the business relationships with a portfolio of Finland headquartered corporate clients
• Support the identification, build and origination of a new portfolio of Finnish headquartered corporate clients
• Moreover, you leverage the bank’s global network of coverage and product partners to efficiently manage client relationships around the world
• Together with our products partners, you will identify and address our clients’ needs. You will drive and coordinate the tailored marketing and delivery of suitable products
• The full set of corporate banking products includes, amongst other products, cash management, working capital finance, debt capital markets, lending products, markets/ derivatives products, securities services and asset management products
• The corporate banker on-boards clients and presents the respective business and credit cases to internal partners and committees
• In addition, you are the first line of defence for continuous credit quality monitoring

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Relevant experience in coverage of corporate clients in Finland and managing client relationships
• Proven ability to develop trusted client relationships and networks, win new business and close transactions. Strong commercial judgement
• Ability to build internal networks and manage cross-cultural environments with teams around the world
• In depth knowledge of corporate banking products including strong credit analysis skills
• Strong leadership abilities in financial services sales and business development
• Proven credit, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communications abilities
• Fluency in English & Finnish is essential.  Additional Nordic language preferred
