We are looking for an HR Manager, Europe with a main responsibility in managing day-to-day HR operations and employee programs throughout the European region. The role focuses on employee engagement, employee relations, compliance, learning and development, and implementation of corporate HR initiatives. The position ensures employees and managers receive high-quality HR support while maintaining compliance and delivering a positive employee experience.


 


This HR Manager role will support the Energy Storage Joint Venture for a 500-employee, multi-country organization spanning 10 countries. The role specifically supports Europe while partnering closely with other regional HR Managers. This role reports to the Vice President, Human Resources and is based in Helsinki, Vaasa, or Turku in Finland.


 


 


Key Responsibilities


 


HR Program Execution within the Region



  • Implement annual HR programs and initiatives across the region

  • Support compensation review processes and policy implementation

  • Ensure consistent application of HR processes and standards


 


Employee Relations & Compliance



  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and workplace concerns

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, collective agreements, and company policies

  • Provide guidance to managers on performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace issues

  • Support audits and compliance reporting requirements


 


Employee Engagement



  • Lead regional employee engagement activities and recognition programs

  • Support employee communication initiatives and action plans resulting from engagement surveys

  • Coordinate wellness, inclusion, and employee experience initiatives


 


Talent & Performance Management



  • Coordinate annual performance management and talent review processes

  • Support succession planning and employee development planning activities

  • Assist managers in identifying development opportunities for employees


 


Talent Acquisition



  • Lead regional recruitment activities and workforce planning efforts

  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process

  • Support employer branding and candidate experience initiatives


 


Learning & Development Programs



  • Lead learning and development programs across all regions by partnering with regional HR Managers for implementation

  • Coordinate leadership, professional, and compliance training initiatives

  • Manage onboarding and development programs to build employee capability

  • Monitor training effectiveness and participation metrics


 


 


Qualifications


 



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field

  • 7+ years of HR experience in a multinational environment

  • Experience leading employee development and training programs

  • Strong knowledge of European employment regulations, workers councils, and HR practices

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fluency in English required; additional regional language capabilities preferred
