Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a new IS Technology Specialist to join our team in Smart Power Vaasa. In this role you will be responsible for applying IT (Information Technology) knowledge and expertise to help solve complex technical and professional activities on-site in the factory environment to ensure operational continuity.  You will join a talented team of colleagues and networks that support your development. In this role you will also be participating in the implementation of company-wide infrastructure related projects and development.

The role includes occasional system changes that take place in the evenings and on weekends.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supporting the local factory in Information Systems related needs
• Handling device management, including supporting new IS solutions and replacements
• Analyzing and resolving various Information Systems problems
• Collaborating in the mentioned areas with internal and external stakeholders
• Representing IS expertise in different digitalization projects
• Other interesting tasks depending on the background, skills and interest of the selected person

Qualifications for the role:

• Studies from a relevant technical or business field, such as Information Technology, Industrial Management or similar
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good competences in collaborating with multiple stakeholders from various backgrounds
• Hands-on attitude for working in a customer support role
• Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish
• Understanding of Azure and cloud technologies is seen as a benefit
• Basic knowledge of security requirements in a factory environment or of LAN technologies (wired and wireless) is seen as a benefit
