Lead Digital Analyst

Are you passionate about digital analytics and ready to make a significant impact? This is your opportunity to lead the charge at Finland's leading iGaming company, as our new Lead Digital Analyst.

Reporting to our new BIC Head of BI-Insights, your primary role is to combine hands-on digital analytics work with project leadership and cross-functional collaboration. You will help steer digital analytics priorities across projects, while also actively contributing to analysis, measurement planning, and tracking development. Internally, you will help shape how digital analytics work is done across initiatives and support effective collaboration around shared objectives. Externally, you will work closely with Product Owners and the Design team across our iGaming verticals to build use cases, define user journeys, and translate business needs into clear tracking requirements. This work will be done in close partnership with the central digital analytics team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment. Ultimately, you will help foster a collaborative, data-driven culture while ensuring analytics output is actionable, high quality, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Strategize: Lead the digital analytics team's strategy and priorities. Ensure that all output (including analysis, reporting, and insight generation) meets high-quality standards and provides actionable, impactful support for business objectives.

 

Ways of Working & Capability Building: 

 

• Contribute advanced analytics methods, tools, and collaborative ways of working across projects. 


• Identify and improve team processes to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.


• Hands-On Analysis & Insight Generation: Conduct hands-on analysis to generate actionable insights and recommendations across the full customer lifecycle. 


• Monitoring and analyzing user engagement, usage, funnels (conversion funnels, customer journeys, and drop-off points) and feature interaction across web and app platforms.


• Setting up and analyzing A/B tests and other digital experiments to support optimization and product development.


• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with Product Owners, UX, and CX teams to proactively translate business goals and new features into clear measurement plans, user journeys, and tracking requirements.


• Oversee Tracking & Implementation: Define detailed tracking requirements (including KPIs and naming conventions) and oversee their implementation and validation. Work hand-in-hand with central analytics teams to ensure data accuracy and adherence to best practices.


• Own and Improve Processes: Take ownership of the team's internal processes and agile ways of working, driving efficiency and ensuring smooth project execution from planning to delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

 

• 3-5 years of experience in a digital analytics role within the international iGaming industry in B2C.


• Deep expertise in modern, event-based analytics platforms, with a strong focus on Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM). This must include a technical understanding of the DataLayer and how it is used to implement robust tracking solutions. Familiarity with other major platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Snowplow) or session replay tools is also beneficial. 


• Demonstrated experience in hands-on digital analysis, translating findings into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders, and measuring or analyzing A/B tests and other digital experiments to support optimization and product development.


• Proven experience in designing and building effective dashboards and a strong understanding of data visualization best practices (e.g., using Power BI, Looker, or similar tools).


• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating complex datasets in large-scale environments (Google BigQuery) is required.


• Demonstrated experience in leading projects or mentoring other analysts is required.


• Practical experience using AI-powered tools or techniques in an analytics context is a plus.


• Experience collaborating effectively with CX, UX, and Design teams is highly desirable.


• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is valued, but equivalent practical experience will be strongly considered.

Our headquarters are located in Helsinki, Finland but the position can be located in Malta or Sweden. We work flexibly in a hybrid model.
