At Eaton, we are committed to Lead, Invest and Execute for Growth.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nProvides senior technical leadership in mechanical engineering for complex UPS systems and accessories, with end\u2011to\u2011end accountability for system\u2011level design quality, performance, safety, cost, and cross\u2011functional integration across R\u0026D programs.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Leads mechanical engineering scope for complex UPS systems and accessories, with end\u2011to\u2011end accountability for mechanical design outcomes including performance, safety, quality, cost, and compliance across R\\\u0026D programs by acting as a lead mechanical engineer. Participates in design work.\n * Provides senior\u2011level technical expertise in advanced mechanical design and analysis, covering structural and thermal design, materials and manufacturing methods, FEM and vibration/seismic analysis, and validation testing for mission\u2011critical power products.\n * Drives design robustness and product reliability through systematic application of DFSS methodologies, design\u2011for\u2011safety and maintainability principles, and ownership of complex technical problem solving and root\u2011cause analysis.\n * Leads and coordinates technical side of work of mechanical engineers to help and substitute line manager, assigning and reviewing design work, providing technical direction and mentoring, and ensuring consistent engineering quality and on\u2011time delivery across projects.\n * Acts as mechanical system engineer within multidisciplinary R\u0026D programs, coordinating mechanical activities with electrical, firmware, and other engineering disciplines to ensure coherent system\u2011level design and integration.\n * Owns development and continuous improvement of the mechanical design environment, including tools, processes, and engineering standards, with responsibility for improving design efficiency, quality, and global alignment across Eaton sites.\n * Defines, documents, and standardizes mechanical, harness, and assembly designs, including BOM ownership, prototype specification, and hands\u2011on build and validation support for new product development.\n * Provides expert mechanical engineering support to internal stakeholders, including product management, technical support, and sales, contributing to product competitiveness and successful customer solutions.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering\n * Minimum 8 years of mechanical design experience \n \n\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Deep understanding of material properties \u0026 manufacturing methods.\n * Multidisciplinary (mechanical, electrical) prototyping capability.\n * 3D CAD and other mechanical design tools management and design environment development.\n * Good verbal and written communications in English.\n * Ability to work in a project team, manage multiple personal tasks without guidance and support work of design engineers.\n\n\n\n#LI-OV1\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
