Job Summary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with strong experience in 3D design, production tooling, assembly and production line development, and manufacturing automation. The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach to engineering, understands production environments, and can effectively support production line development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and improve assembly and production line processes
Design lifting devices and production support equipment for assembly and machining operations
Create and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and Visual Standard Operating Procedures (VSOP)
Develop and implement automation tools and manufacturing solutions
Drive continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, productivity, and ergonomics
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support new product introductions and process optimization
Support production line layout, workstation design, and industrialization activities
Requirements
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent technical education
Strong 3D design skills with proven results, preferably using Autodesk Inventor
Experience in assembly and production line development
Experience with manufacturing automation tools and automation solutions
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems
Understanding of Engineering BOM (EBOM) and Manufacturing BOM (MBOM) management
Strong problem-solving and project management skills
Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Spoken and written Finnish and English skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in machining and assembly manufacturing environments
Knowledge of compressor products or compressor housing manufacturing
Experience with robotics, automated assembly solutions, and industrial equipment
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Knowledge of product testing and validation processes is considered a benefit
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Fully site-based, flexible working, hybrid model. Endorsing a good work-life balance is important to us, and we ensure this with flexible working hours. Due to the tasks of this role most of the work is done at our Messukylä-factory and therefore remote work possibilities are limited. Of course, some occasionally remote workdays are possible!
