This role is part of the Valmet’s Fiber Technology Center team in Inkeroinen. The team plans and executes customer and R&D pilot trials, supports technology development, and works closely with customers worldwide. You will collaborate with skilled and enthusiastic colleagues in a dynamic and practical environment where knowledge sharing and continuous learning are valued.

Now is your chance to join this unique role as Process Manager/Engineer where you run full-scale fiber trials from start to finish at Valmet’s largest fiber pilot and test facility in Inkeroinen, Finland. In this hands-on position, you combine strong technical understanding with practical execution, working directly on the fiber processes, collaborating with customers, and owning the entire trial project lifecycle. This role offers real responsibility, visible impact, and a rare opportunity to work in the world’s largest fiber trial environment.

What you’ll do

• You plan, execute, lead and report customer and R&D pilot trial projects, from strategy and sales to final invoicing.
• You operate pilot machines independently during trials at the facility.
• You work closely with customers, maintain active communication, and ensure trials meet agreed objectives.
• You manage trial logistics including coordinating, cancelling, and adjusting material deliveries and loads as needed.

Expectations for you

• You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in paper, process, or related engineering fields
• Some experience of similar tasks
• Knowledge of new technologies such as textile fibers is considered an advantage
• A strong hands-on and teamwork attitude combined with solid technical understanding of paper or fiber processes.
• Fluent English and Finnish skills, both written and spoken
• You work in an organized way, handle multiple tasks, and cooperate smoothly with various stakeholders.
