Senior Manager, Production – Lead the Future of Fabrics Operations

Join us to lead and develop Tampere’s Fabrics production site, where you will shape operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and influence the future of global manufacturing. In this role, you will optimize production performance, enable technology-driven transformation, and empower teams to deliver high-quality results. You will play a key role in ensuring that our operations support growth, innovation, and long-term competitiveness.

Your responsibilities

• Establishing operating budgets within specified levels, monitor the cost and effectiveness of manufacturing activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.

• Set, and monitor the performance of the site against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing efficiency, cost control in both production and products, reliability and availability, legal compliance, capital spend and human resource management.

• Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures (in conjunction with corporate subject matter experts) to ensure that the site meets its current and future production targets and QHSE standards.

• Allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity and manage costs.

• Executing evaluations of possible investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the site’s production capabilities.

•  Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of functional and operational supervisors or other professionals to ensure that the site meets its established targets and standards.

• Be active member of Paper Machine Clothing leadership team.

Expectations for you

• Master’s degree preferably in engineering.

• 5-8 years work experience in global environment.

• Proficiency in English and Finish language. Other languages are an asset.

• Deep understanding and knowledge of Lean Management and utilization of digital tools.

• Knowledge of HSE legislation and experience working in production environment.

• Ability to lead change and see the big picture with attention to details.

• Good problem-solving and decision-making capability.

• Proactive and flexible team leadership and people management skills.
