Project Management Officer (PMO) Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Management Officer (PMO) Trainee for KONE Business Services (KBS). The ideal candidate is a self-driven “jack of all trades” in the area of project management and corporate development. We are looking for someone with previous experience in similar PMO roles combined with structured ways of working, curious mindset, an eye for detail and passion for continuous improvement.

In this position, you will be part of KBS Project, Program and Portfolio (PPP) management team, reporting to the leader of the PPP team, managing a global team of project management professionals. Your responsibilities will include; ensuring that (1) the core PMO processes of KBS will remain operational and value adding, (2) leading or supporting projects and development initiatives and (3) acting as a go-to person for the PPP team leader for various ad hoc and PMO related activities.

Responsibilities and Key Activities:

• Maintenance of KBS Project Portfolio (in KETO), Service Catalogue and New Scope in-take and ensuring their relevance for steering and visibility
• Supporting or leading various projects or development initiatives (transitions, transformations, quality) based on your experience, skills and aspirations
• Go-to person for the leader of KBS project, program and portfolio team. Supporting with various ad hoc activities, based on your expertise and capacity
  
   

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance or from other relevant fields
• Self-driven mindset with hunger for continuous learning & improvement
• Previous hands-on experience in project management or working in a similar PMO role, ideally within business services context
• Structured way of working, eye for detail and combined with solid collaboration skills
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Finnish is a plus
• Excellent presentation (incl. PowerPoint skills)

The position is based in Espoo, Finland and preferable start would be in May 2026 (April also possible) with possibility to continue beyond summer.
